Santa’s Helpers 5K & Family Fun Run

5K and 1 Mile Family Fun Run:

This is the second year for our fabulous running race in Melissa, Texas! The race will begin at the trails around the Wolf Creek Farms Lake. Runners will be captivated as they enter country Ridge park with tranquil trails and beautiful scenery. Your participation will benefit North Texas Feed the Need! This is an organization which generously provides food, free of charge, to families when students are not in school and food is hardest to find.

What to expect:

Registration: 7:30 a.m. (Registration includes Official race bib, T-shirt* & race day swag)
1 Mile Fun Run: 8:30 a.m
5K Race: 8:45 a.m.

All Runners and Walkers will have access to food trucks, music, sponsor tables, and much more!!

Virtual/ Sleep-in Runner: Participants can sign up to run or walk virtually from anywhere to show your support! Registration includes a T-shirt!

*Registration completed by 11/25/2023, will receive an event T-Shirt. T-Shirts will be on a first-come, first-serve basis after this time!

Why “Feed The Need”?

Texas has one of the highest rates of child food insecurity in the nation, at nearly 22 percent, or almost 1.6 million children (everytexan.org)! This is why organizations like North Texas Feed the Need can use your help more than ever! Your contributions will go directly to families who do not have consistent food in their home.

On race day please bring one (or more) of the following items to help stock their pantry before Christmas break!

• Individually wrapped snacks (bars, chips, fruit snacks, etc)

• Peanut butter (sealed jar or tub)

• Jelly (sealed jar)

• Boxed Macaroni and Cheese

• Cash donations are accepted!

Can I win an award?

Yes! The following are the Award Categories for medals:

Plaques will be given for Top M/F Overall and the top M/F Master.

Age Groups: 13 & under, 14-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65 & over.
Top 3 in each age group M/F will be awarded medals.

Awards will be presented following the 5K!
